SLRD Men’s Club Director’s Meeting
Meeting Date: August 11, 2009
Board members in attendance: Ray Gray (RG), Greg Mullins (GM), Rich Tammone (RT), Scott Chambers (SC), Frank Doherty (FD), Steve Diersing (SD) and Wayne Van Der Linden (WV).
2. WV questioned the lack of a motion to accept SC and FD as board members during the July meeting. WV moved to accept SC and FD as board members. GM seconded the motion. Board approved unanimously.
3. Minutes from July 2009 were presented by WV as recorded by SC. With no corrections, WV moved to accept, seconded by SC. Board unanimously approved.
4. Financial report was presented by RT. With no further discussion WV moved to accept, seconded by FD. Board approved unanimously.

Expenses $2,998.34
Ending Balance $25,537.05
RG brought to the attention of the board that the financial report, for July, does not included an outstanding unpaid bill for $2,190.00 payable to SLRD (GM). This was for services and prizes supplied by SLRD (GM).
5. Board discussed establishment of a penalties procedure for those members who fail to post their scores following play either on Wednesday or Saturday. The board approved the following wording unanimously as proposed by SC and seconded by FD: “Any member, who fails to post his score for Wednesday or Saturday play, on the same day of play, will be issued a warning, for the first violation. If second or further violations occur, within the 6 month period, a score will be posted, for that member, equal to the lowest score previously posted for the last 20 rounds played at SLRD. The calendar year will be divided into two equal 6-month periods; January 1st thru July 31st and August 1st thru December 31st. This action brings our Men’s Club into compliance with the SCGA recommendations.
6. RT will submit a 3rd quarter detailed Profit/Loss report during the October meeting.
7. Board continued discussions regarding the addition of a set of GOLD tees. It was felt that this might lure more senior golfers to join as members and make their experience more enjoyable at SLRD. GM will consult with course superintendent as to the feasibility and cost.
8. GM will inform board as the total number of members for 2009. WV will e-mail reminder to GM.
9. With no further business RG adjourned meeting at 5:05 PM.
