Alan Yang Wins in Finals of Presidents Cup Match Play   

On Saturday September 8th the final 2 players were left in the Presidents Cup Match Play. Manny Rito (5 hdcp)
won the Wednesday presidents cup and Alan Yang (26 hdcp) won the Saturday match play. The final match
was a good one with Manny shooting gross 35 on the front side and Alan shooting a gross 46. Alan was
1 up. The match went back and forth and the players were even after 13 holes, but Manny ran into
problems on 14 and 15 and was 2 down with 3 to go. On the 16th hole both Manny and Alan made par
so the match went to Alan 3-2. Congratulations to both players who had to win four matches just to reach
the finals. Alan's name will go on the perpetual trophy in the Downs Sports Bar.
